Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Service Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests for various commercial and industrial equipment.
- Starting up and commissioning Trane controls and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment, including split systems, package units, chillers, and supporting components like pumps and cooling towers.
- Optimizing building control systems for improved efficiency.
- Conducting replacements and modifications of HVAC systems as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- EPA Certification and Propane and Natural Gas Technician License required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using handheld devices (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and/or overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to operate a vehicle safely and legally.
- Ability to wear safety equipment such as helmets, goggles, and harnesses.
- Physical capability to perform tasks including twisting, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Regular lifting of up to 40 lbs. and occasional lifting of more than 40 lbs.
- Must be able to access rooftops and maneuver in confined spaces.
