Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist III to join our team at Northeast Tool & Manufacturing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and Operation: Set up CNC equipment to produce high-quality parts, according to blueprints and engineering models.
  • CNC Programming and Interpretation: Interpret G-Code programming, set up, and run CNC lathes.
  • Tooling and Fixtures: Select and install tooling into tool posts or indexing heads, and align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories.
  • Quality Control: Observe numerical display on control panel and compare with data on print sheet to verify dimensional adjustments on machining cuts, and run first piece and check for conformance to specifications.
  • Maintenance and Housekeeping: Responsible for following and maintaining 5S in work area and performing total preventative maintenance activities.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload raw material or parts into machining centers.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of machining experience with a familiarity of G-Code, and experience with Siemens and/or Fanuc Controls.
  • Skills: Proven experience as a lathe CNC Machinist in the manufacturing field including multi-axis lathes, ability to maintain tight tolerances, and to read and interpret blueprints and use required digital measuring instruments.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited college or university, previous experience in an AS9100 Environment, proficiency with DMG Mori, Grob, Okuma, or Makino machine tools, and experience with high temp alloys, such as Inconel and Monel.
