About the Role

We're seeking a technically passionate engineering leader with an entrepreneurial approach who loves challenges, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering best-in-class products. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you'll own the end-to-end product life cycle for large-scale projects, design, development, testing, deployment, and providing operational excellence and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a community of engineers and help strengthen the team
  • Collaborate with peers, leaders, and partners across functions and business groups to come up with technology solutions to business problems
  • Own the end-to-end product life cycle for large-scale projects: design, development, testing, deployment, and providing operational excellence and support
  • Find and advocate for industry standards in development methodologies, techniques, and technologies
  • Mentor and coach junior members on the team
  • Advocate for operational excellence (such as unit testing, establishing SLAs, programming for resiliency and scalability)
  • Take a whole systems approach to analyze issues and implement comprehensive solutions by ensuring that linkages between structure, people, process, and technology are made
  • Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks, before they occur, report on status of difficult or critical projects to leadership
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in a Software Development Engineer or similar role
  • Full stack engineering with expert-level experience in Java, Kotlin, or an equivalent language
  • Experience working with front-end technologies such as ReactJS, NodeJS, AngularJS, or an equivalent language
  • Experience working with GraphQL or an equivalent strongly typed language
  • Demonstrated understanding of cloud services
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms
  • Experience leading cross-functional large-scale projects
  • Mentored and developed other software engineers
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development practices and version control tools such as Git

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
