About the Role

The Senior Engagement Manager will be an expert in the Workday Deployment Methodology, leading and managing mid to large deployments and resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways. They will also support executive-level expectations by providing internal suggestions to management, based on field experience, as to how to potentially enhance the Workday Deployment Methodology.

The ideal candidate for this role must have a strong background in project management and experience with Workday deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide our customers in the implementation of Workday deployments following multiple approaches of the Workday Methodology.
  • Lead the implementations on simultaneous projects.
  • Show strength in the Workday product suite - Financials and/or HCM.
  • At times, participate in the sales cycle to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach, and develop a proposal/SOW.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to those Professional Service resources working on their implementations.
  • Ensure projects are accurately planned and staffed.
  • Work with Customer Project Managers to resolve issues and ensure compliance with agreed deliverables.
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
  • Be a liaison for Professional Services when interacting with sales and/or development.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management with Financial and/or HCM software deployments.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft or similar applications.

Other Qualifications:

  • Consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company.
  • Solid grasp of at least one of the following business areas: Human Capital Management, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Procurement.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and social skills.
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus.
  • Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
