About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Albertsons Companies. As a key member of our Real Estate Department, you will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies around building and grocery retail equipment, including HVAC, Lighting, Switchgear, Refrigeration Systems, Building Management Systems, and Generators.

Main Responsibilities
  • Source various building and grocery retail refrigeration equipment and/or categories that are medium to high complexity and spend, utilizing the various standard sourcing processes adopted by the Strategic Sourcing Department.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, establish relationships, and lead stakeholders/cross-functional teams along the process to get buy-in.
  • Develop equipment criteria, lead price, and terms-and-conditions negotiations with suppliers, and lead sourcing events from project kick-off to contract execution.
  • Use and evaluate eSourcing tools and new technologies, participate in spend analytics and work planning efforts, and become a category expert in understanding the category role and develop category playbooks and roadmaps to enhance strategic negotiations.
  • Develop negotiation event timelines, manage execution, project manage sourcing-led events, including vendor transitions, mitigate company financial liabilities through inventory management with suppliers, and build and establish strategic vendor relationships to develop short and long-term partnerships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong ability to negotiate internally and externally to achieve required objectives and execute and implement contracts.
  • Strong meeting management and facilitation skills, good understanding of commercial building equipment manufacturing, distribution, and logistics, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and good knowledge of sourcing systems and preferable e-sourcing technology.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems.
  • Working knowledge of contract law, government policies, and regulations for the food and drug industry, excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills, excellent relationship building and collaboration skills, high energy level, initiative, creative problem-solving ability, and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent team interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while providing superior service, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and 10% travel required.
