Job Title: Architectural Sales Representative

At Centerpoint Construction, we are seeking an experienced Architectural Sales Representative to join our team. This role requires a proven track record in architectural sales and an established network within the construction industry, particularly with high-end custom, production home builders, commercial, and multi-family projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
    • Identify, qualify, and target potential clients, including architects, engineers, general contractors, custom builders, and shell contractors.
    • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients in high-end custom, commercial, and multi-family sectors.
    • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand project needs and present suitable solutions.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, industry events, and referrals.
    • Deliver tailored presentations and proposals aligned with company offerings to close deals.
    • Negotiate terms and finalize sales agreements, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Industry Knowledge & Market Development:
    • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and construction industry advancements, particularly in deck and roof systems.
    • Collaborate with the Ownership and Project Management team to strategize promotional campaigns and expand market reach.
    • Provide valuable market insights and recommend growth opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Collaboration & Team Integration:
    • Work closely with structural engineers and specialty engineers on the design and layout of projects, ensuring product compatibility with project requirements.
    • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other internal teams to ensure seamless project execution post-sale.
    • Clearly communicate client expectations to delivery teams to guarantee project success.
    • Participate in regular sales meetings to share market insights and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in architectural sales or a related role within the construction industry.
  • Experience with metal pan, structural steel, concrete, or precast deck systems is highly advantageous.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building relationships in the construction sector.
  • Experience working with structural and specialty engineers is a plus.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel within Tampa/St. Pete frequently to meet clients and visit project sites (75%+ travel required).
