Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Test Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA in support of the MK21A Reentry Vehicle Development Program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating flight, ground, and cyber test activities with government stakeholders, prime contractors, and subcontractors. They will review test concepts, policies, and standards for missile system tests and provide expertise in conducting integrated test engineering-level assessments of analysis, production, verification, validation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution processes.

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to shape the development and deployment of our nation's newest re-entry vehicle, the national security critical backbone of our nuclear deterrent capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate flight, ground, and cyber test activities with government stakeholders, prime contractors, and subcontractors
  • Review test concepts, policies, and standards for missile system tests
  • Provide expertise in conducting integrated test engineering-level assessments of analysis, production, verification, validation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution processes
  • Identify and mitigate design, production, and test deficiencies that could impact successful development
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years of progressive technical experience or 2 years with a Master's Degree
  • Developmental or operational flight test experience
  • Must possess and maintain a US DoD Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ICBM weapon systems
  • Familiarity with developing test plans
  • Familiarity with program management principles, including cost, schedule, and performance assessment
  • Familiarity with analyzing test reports
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs
