About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic student representative to join our Admissions team as a Summer Admissions Intern. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to prospective students and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present information about the campus, including its history, academics, student life, and student services.
  • Represent the university in a positive and professional manner, responding to visitor questions and referring them to campus resources as needed.
  • Communicate with prospective and admitted students in a variety of formats, both written and verbal.
Requirements
  • Must have completed at least one semester of coursework at JMU.
  • Must be returning to JMU for school in fall 2024.
  • Must be available during weekdays (Monday-Friday).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Prompt, reliable, responsible, professional, and enthusiastic.
Working Conditions

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate). Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
