Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Exceptional Health Care.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting, prioritizing the physical and psychosocial needs of patients. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine priorities of care based on patient needs and factors influencing patient flow.
  • Communicate effectively with Emergency Department physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
  • Maintain awareness of current ER operational policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and adjust nursing care processes as needed.
  • Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments as per policy.
  • Use triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients.
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and correctly interpret results.
  • Perform waived testing and interpret results.
  • Maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation.
  • Interact professionally with patients and families, involving them in the plan of care.
  • Formulate a teaching plan based on identified learning needs.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 1+ years of Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience.
  • Basic computer skills and EHR documentation experience.
  • Current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
