Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at LanceSoft. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and assurance, with experience in process validation and computer software validation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining quality standards and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials products. They will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. They will also design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment, conduct quality assurance tests, and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a University Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. They will be a seasoned individual contributor who works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approaches to solutions.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will contribute to the completion of work group objectives through building relationships and consensus to reach agreements on assignments. They will also make improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the job area.
Responsibilities may include:
- Developing, modifying, and maintaining quality standards and protocols
- Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
- Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment
- Designing or specifying inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment
- Conducting quality assurance tests and performing statistical analysis
- Making improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of the job area
The Quality Assurance Specialist will work independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approaches to solutions. They will also provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to communicate with senior internal and external customers and vendors. They will also have leadership and talent management skills, with the ability to provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area.
