Radiology Imaging Specialist

As a Radiology Specialty Tech I at Metro Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Diagnostic Imaging department. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing cutting-edge technology to produce accurate and reliable diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities
• Produce high-quality CT and X-ray images in various settings, ensuring optimal patient care and comfort.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Develop and maintain strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about procedures, equipment, and examination techniques.
• Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper equipment maintenance.
Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT CT credential or obtain within one year of employment.
• Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH).
• American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtain within the standard probationary period.
Preferred Qualifications
• One year of related experience, with advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.
Physical Demands
• May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
• May need to lift, pull, or push over 50 lbs.
• May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
• See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
• Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
