Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Back-End Software Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects at LexisNexis VitalChek Network Inc. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of back-end development, particularly with web service protocols including SOAP, REST, JWT, and OpenAPI. Familiarity with cloud services and API management tools will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and sustaining high-performance back-end systems.
- Implementing and managing web services utilizing SOAP, REST, and JWT protocols.
- Creating and documenting APIs in accordance with OpenAPI specifications.
- Working closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing components with server-side logic.
- Enhancing application performance for optimal speed and scalability.
- Diagnosing and resolving application issues.
- Maintaining the security and integrity of back-end systems.
- Keeping abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of SOAP, REST, JWT, and OpenAPI protocols.
- Experience with back-end frameworks such as Spring or Django, along with proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Experience with API management solutions is beneficial.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing, with a strong grasp of web security practices.
