Job Summary

Foundation Communities Inc is seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant to provide on-site child supervision for the children of ESL students at our learning location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and delivering educational and enrichment services to vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Supervision: Provide safe and interactive environment for children from various backgrounds, ages 6 months and older.
  • Communication: Establish and maintain on-going communication with parents, engage with and encourage children to participate in age-appropriate play.
  • Accounting and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate accounting of children in care during shift.
  • Team Collaboration: Direct and timely communication with supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, priority given to applicants with coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience: One year experience caring for children inside or outside of the home.
  • Reliability: Reliable means of transportation, passing a background check and fingerprinting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid Certified.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (English and Spanish or Arabic).
Working Conditions

Ability to work in all types of climate atmospheres (hot and cold temperatures) and wet environments, both inside and outside. Must be willing to work evenings.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending. Must be willing and able to lift small children, sit/stand or play for 2 hours at a time.

Compensation

$18/hour
