Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Physician to join our esteemed team at Physician Empire. This role offers a flexible daytime schedule within a dynamic ICU environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide care for patients in a high-volume Intensive Care Unit.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive patient care plans on a daily basis.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribing appropriate treatments and therapies.
  • Collaborate with medical specialists, social services, and other professionals as necessary.
  • Work cohesively with an integrated team, including care management, nursing, and pharmacy staff.
  • Facilitate patient education and assist in setting achievable health goals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established metrics.
  • Supervise and mentor Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing for all professional services rendered.
  • Lead Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) protocols and Rapid Response Team assessments.
  • Attend relevant committee and management meetings.
  • Perform essential procedures such as managing ventilators, central lines, and intubations.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies and operational procedures.
  • Establish and uphold accurate records, reports, and statistical data.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine.
  • Strong skills in inpatient care.
  • A quality-focused team player with experience collaborating with advanced practice providers.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Active state medical license, American Heart Association CPR Certification, DEA License, and state Controlled Substance Registration.
