Job Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team in the NICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician
- Provide education and support to patients and families on disease management and self-care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- 2+ years of experience in pediatric critical care
- Current BLS certification
- Recent experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday
- Flexibility to float to other critical care units as needed
