The candidate will serve as a lead engineer and subject matter expert, providing technical guidance and oversight to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of engineers in the design and execution of electric transmission line projects
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering (Civil Engineering is preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Lead engineer or engineer of record on 500kV and below high voltage transmission lines
  • Field experience or collaboration with transmission line construction contractors
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of supervising staff
  • M.S. degree in Structural Engineering
  • Experience with LPILE or FAD, Mathcad, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
