Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.
  • Manage client relationships, including interacting with clients to resolve tax and audit issues.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct tax research projects to optimize client tax positions.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality services that will exceed client expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and manage risk.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and legislation to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5+ years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax.
  • Extensive experience with 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041 tax returns.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or advanced certification would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional client service skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of effectively managing teams.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
