  • Process requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner, maintaining accurate tracking and documentation
  • Enter patient information into the electronic health record (EHR) system accurately and promptly
  • Verify and update demographic and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records
  • Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner, resolving issues promptly and effectively
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth communication and collaboration related to patient care and records
  • Adhere to relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements regarding patient privacy, confidentiality, and medical records management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration or related field is a plus
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, health information systems, and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry, record management, and communication
