Education and Qualifications
  • Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program
  • Registered ARDMS or ARRT(s)

Job Summary

The Sonographer is responsible for managing and performing all abdominal, gynecological, obstetrical, small parts, peripheral vascular, and cerebrovascular ultrasound examinations.

They must demonstrate excellent comprehension and knowledge of anatomy and disease, and effectively communicate this to the Radiologist.

The Sonographer is trained in the appropriate use of color Doppler techniques and other advanced imaging techniques.

They must be capable of working independently to obtain all necessary clinical information for the Radiologist to make a diagnosis.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
