Medical Specimen Collector

Iberia Medical Center is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in the collection of specimens for lab testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
Responsibilities:- Collect blood and other specimens from patients in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate laboratory equipment, including centrifuges and microscopes
- Prepare and process specimens for testing, including labeling and packaging
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and guidelines in the field of phlebotomy
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current certification in phlebotomy and medical office experience or training preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
