Job Summary

Virtua is seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in program planning and supervision of cardiac rehabilitation programs
  • Conduct cardiac testing, including treadmill exercise stress tests, nuclear exercise stress tests, and stress echocardiography tests
  • Collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic testing and interpret EKG results
  • Develop and implement individualized exercise prescriptions for patients
  • Assure patient safety in the use of exercise equipment
  • Manage all aspects of care for patients enrolled in supervised exercise training for PAD
  • Assist in hemodynamic and physical measurements for all patients
  • Assist in emergency management and maintain data on patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science from an accredited school or university
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or fitness setting
  • ACLS certification and completion of EKG course
  • ACSM certification preferred
