Personal Lines Account Manager - Independent Insurance Agency

  • Our client, a reputable independent insurance agency, is seeking a qualified Personal Lines Account Manager. This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in collaborative environments while also being able to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Personal Lines Account Manager will play a vital role within the agency. You will oversee a diverse personal lines portfolio, which includes home, auto, umbrella, renters, and boat insurance. Your duties will encompass processing endorsements, issuing new and renewal policies, communicating with clients via phone and email, and crafting tailored insurance solutions. Standard working hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with Hawksoft Management System and PL Rater is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Must possess a New York Property & Casualty (P&C) License.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing personal accounts is required.
  • Familiarity with insurance carriers such as Merchants, Travelers, and Utica National is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from 65k to 75k annually, commensurate with experience, along with commission opportunities.
  • The agency provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and paid holidays.
  • This position offers a hybrid work model following an initial in-office training period.
