Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The successful candidate will work closely with our healthcare providers to deliver excellent patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to examination rooms and ensure that rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked.
  • Review previous medical information and gather relevant updated health information from patients to inform healthcare providers.
  • Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections, and assist with procedures as needed.
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Partner with the care team to develop individual patient plans of care and identify gaps in care.
  • Perform front desk duties, including patient scheduling, medical record requests, and documentation.
  • Record accurate and pertinent data in the medical record according to documentation guidelines.
  • Process test results and provide patients with timely results via secure messaging or mail as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible patient groups.
  • Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in primary care, preferably.
  • Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program.
  • National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification required at time of hire.
  • Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
