Job Overview

The Shift Leader plays a crucial role in the management of gym operations, ensuring that all members enjoy a top-notch experience in a welcoming environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a friendly atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring that staff adheres to exceptional customer service standards.
  • Support Staff Management and provide assistance to the Assistant Manager and Club Manager as necessary.
  • Oversee member service, ensuring that staff consistently delivers outstanding customer experiences.
  • Address or escalate any employee-related issues or concerns to the Manager.
  • Engage in all front desk activities, including:
    • Answering phone calls in a courteous manner and assisting with various inquiries.
    • Checking members into the system.
    • Facilitating new member registrations.
    • Conducting tours for prospective members.
    • Handling all member requests, issues, and inquiries.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.
  • Provide backup support for any staff member who is absent.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional customer service skills, ideally within the fitness sector.
  • Prior experience as a Member Service Representative.
  • Strong supervisory, diplomatic, and listening abilities.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Suite).
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Current CPR Certification is mandatory.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Regular verbal communication in person or via phone.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May encounter hazardous materials during the shift.
