We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Geisinger Medical Laboratories. This part-time position offers the chance to work in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment, providing exceptional patient care through innovative and high-quality services.

About the Role

This position involves performing various analyses from multiple specimen sources, ensuring accurate identification and suitability of specimens, and maintaining productivity levels. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and have strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field, such as biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science. A background in medical technology is highly desirable, and at least two years' experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred. You should also possess ASCP categorical certification or be willing to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
