Trainer, Safety-Care Specialist

Center for Human Development is seeking a part-time trainer to deliver its evidence-based Safety-Care training program. The program provides skills and competencies necessary to effectively prevent, minimize, and manage behavioral challenges with dignity, safety, and the possibility of change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train CHD staff in crisis prevention, de-escalation, and physical management strategies.
- Deliver the 4-day train the trainer session.
- Meet the physical demands of the role.
Requirements:
- Good communication skills.
- An out-going personality.
- Experience in behavioral health or human services.
- Prior training and/or experience performing in front of people.
Working Conditions:
- Approximately 50-60 hours per month.
- Training Center location in Springfield, MA.
Education:
High School or better.
