Mary's Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Psychiatry to provide clinical and administrative oversight to our adult and pediatric psychiatry programs in DC & Maryland.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Leadership: Ensure compliance with clinical requirements identified by payors, including the District of Columbia's Department of Behavioral Health Core Service Agency (CSA), MCOs, and private payors, as well as the Council on Accreditation Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) standards.
- Ensure Quality of Care: Develop and implement peer review processes & workflows for Quality assurance, and continually monitor quality service delivery.
- Supervise and Train Staff: Provide individual administrative and clinical supervision, participate in hiring process, onboard and orient new staff and students, and provide ongoing constructive feedback to supervisees to support professional growth.
- Manage Clinical Schedules: Design methods that monitor the clinical schedules of assigned staff to ensure that the program appointment schedules are full and that service delivery occurs seamlessly.
- Provide Clinical Services: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral conditions, establish a differential diagnosis and treatment plan, and provide psychoeducation to patients and/or relatives about diagnosis, prognosis, treatment indications, risks, benefits, and alternative treatment options.
- Education and Licensure: Must possess an N.P., M.D., or D.O. and be Board-Certified in Psychiatry or Board-Eligible.
- Experience: At least 5 years' experience practicing medicine in a community mental health environment and/or experience in working with immigrant or low-income populations is desirable.
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English is required, and additional language proficiency or fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Competitive Salary: For NP- $130,000-$142,000/year. For MD- $180,000-$250,000/year.
- Benefits Package: Health Insurance, dental & vision, plus retirement options through 403(b) contribution and investment opportunities, 25 days of paid leave annually, licensure reimbursement, tuition reimbursement of $2000/year, transportation subsidy, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
