In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tax advisory and tax compliance activities, which include conducting tax research, strategic tax planning, and preparing detailed work papers for various tax filings and related initiatives.
You will engage with diverse entities such as corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and non-profit organizations.Moreover, you will gain exposure to multiple sectors including real estate, consumer goods, service industries, and charitable organizations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and review tax returns for various entities including pass-through entities, C-corporations, trusts, and affluent individuals.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Conduct thorough research and planning to address client inquiries in accordance with relevant tax laws.
Implement strategies to minimize tax liabilities through informed application of tax regulations.
Assist clients during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Maintain direct communication with clients regarding income tax issues, transactional consulting, tax research, and compliance matters.
Anticipate client needs and provide practical solutions that can be effectively implemented.
Mentor and supervise junior staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS
2-5 years of relevant experience in tax.
Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
Capability to work autonomously while coordinating tasks with senior team members.
Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to professional development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), with experience in QuickBooks and ProSystems considered a plus.
