Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Residence Manager to join our team at Kelberman Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily shift operations, ensuring the accomplishment of individuals' goals and behavior plans, and coordinating staff orientation and training activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily shift operations, including assistance with interviewing and hiring, scheduling and coverage, staff meetings, performance evaluation, and the disciplinary process.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of individuals' goals and behavior plans, and implement the Treatment or Rehabilitation Plan.
  • Coordinate staff orientation and training activities, including new employee assimilation and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain timely completion of all necessary records and reports, including purchasing records and petty cash.
  • Perform all duties of the Mental Health Advisor I, including promoting individuals' independence, attending to personal and self-care needs, and overseeing safety and well-being.
  • Monitor operation and condition of the building and supplies, and participate in activities as part of the treatment team.
  • Establish a work environment that fosters positive communication between supervisors and employees, and ensures compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards.
Requirements
  • Must have QMHSP status, bachelor's degree in a human services related field, or;
  • Associate's degree in a human services related field and three years experience in human services, or;
  • High school diploma and five years experience in human services.
  • Travel is required; must have a valid NY State Drivers' License.
