With a strong background in electrical engineering and experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams, you will conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle. As a member of our Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area, you will work closely with our team to provide affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection, and security solutions worldwide. Your experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, Microsoft Office Applications, and Agile development methodologies will be essential in driving our innovation and growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Basic understanding of digital circuit concepts
  • Detailed experience with FPGA HDL development, simulation, and analysis, utilizing the VHDL language
  • Average to Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
  • Advanced knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airworthiness certification and compliance criteria
  • Advanced knowledge of safety-critical systems
  • Experience with Design Assurance and Agile development
  • Experience with DO-254
  • Experience participating in a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience planning and overseeing execution of airworthiness development efforts
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to, model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
  • Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools
  • Experience with source code management systems
  • Experience with Linux Operating System and shell script development
