About the Opportunity

Kennesaw State University is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Associate Dean of the College of Computing and Software Engineering. This is a full-time, administrative faculty position with a preferred start date of January 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean will collaborate with other college leaders to advance the mission of the College.
  • Manage personnel, oversee general College operations, and grow and enhance graduate programs.
  • Oversee the development, planning, and implementation of student success activities, manage accreditation and assessment activities, and oversee curriculum development.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for matters related to research and teaching assignments.
Requirements
  • A PhD degree in one of the disciplines within the College of Computing and Software Engineering at KSU is required.
  • Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service commensurate with an academic background and appropriate credentials to be a tenured full professor in an academic unit in the College of Computing and Software Engineering at KSU.
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative and/or leadership experience in an academic setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in higher education leadership and previous experience cultivating relationships with community, profession, and other stakeholders.
  • Effective and strong communication skills.
