About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and results-driven professional to drive sales efforts with key government space and defense agencies. As Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and executing a business development strategy targeting key U.S. government space and defense agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting key U.S. government space and defense agencies.
  • Lead efforts to sell the company's innovative satellite solutions directly to these agencies and their contractors.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders within government agencies, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure business opportunities in space and defense sectors, aligning customer needs with the company's platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to craft and present tailored solutions for satellite design, simulation, and operations.
  • Oversee proposal efforts, including responding to RFPs, RFIs, and other procurement documents, ensuring timely and competitive submissions.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and agency briefings, effectively communicating the platforms capabilities and value.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, government initiatives, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree in engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the space or defense industry.
  • Proven ability to sell to government space agencies, including SDA, USSF, NRO, AFRL, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and familiarity with federal acquisition regulations.
  • Technical understanding of satellite operations, space missions, or related aerospace systems.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance is highly preferred.
  • Track record of success in winning contracts and developing long-term partnerships.

Compensation:

The salary for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 plus commission, offering a total OTE (On-Target Earnings) of up to 2x base salary.
