We are seeking highly qualified part-time lecturers to join our pool of adjunct faculty in the Biotechnology Program at San Jose State University. As a part-time lecturer, you will have the opportunity to teach and mentor students in a dynamic and diverse learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in biotechnology, including industry experience in entrepreneurship, drug discovery and development, cell and molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, laboratory instruction, biotechnology finance, regulatory affairs, clinical trials, project management, or manufacturing.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments that promote student learning and success.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including those from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of academic preparation.
- Stay current with developments in the field of biotechnology and incorporate relevant industry trends and best practices into your teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and program improvements.
- Master's degree or higher in biology, biotechnology, engineering, business, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching or industry experience in biotechnology.
- Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Industry experience in biotechnology, including entrepreneurship, drug discovery and development, cell and molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, laboratory instruction, biotechnology finance, regulatory affairs, clinical trials, project management, or manufacturing.
