We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Authorization Benefit Specialist to join our team at Deaconess Health System. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our authorization processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-certification of scheduled outpatient procedures to prevent negative reimbursement to the hospital or penalty to the patient
  • Excellent communication and professional service with physicians using the hospital for procedures
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to perform basic math

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two to four years' experience in a physician's office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing
