We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Office of Addiction Services and Supports. As a key member of our treatment team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine the nature of patients' complaints and develop treatment plans.
- Author medication orders and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure accurate and timely implementation.
- Review preadmission psychiatric information to assess patients' suitability for treatment.
- Establish and finalize diagnoses upon discharge.
- Provide psychiatric examinations, assessments, and consultations to patients.
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and assess patients with co-occurring disorders.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide educational lectures and groups to patients and staff.
To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in psychiatric nursing and be eligible for licensure in New York State. Additionally, you must be able to maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
