Job Description

Lakeland Companies is seeking a skilled Metal Forming Specialist to join our team. This role involves the formation of simple to medium complexity sheet metal parts using a press brake.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand part drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of material types and gauge thicknesses to optimize production efficiency.
  • Inspect first and last articles, as well as other quality checks as required, to ensure high-quality products.
  • Identify quality issues that may arise and direct them to the supervisor for corrective action.
  • Ensure all parts are marked correctly for easy identification and tracking.
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of experience in press brake operation is preferred but not necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as manufacturing or engineering is a plus.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use quality inspection tools such as calipers and protractors.
  • Ability to convert decimals to fractions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications quickly.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
