Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist

About the Job:
Lakeland Companies is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for forming simple to medium complexity sheet metal parts using a press brake. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in press brake operation and possess basic knowledge of manufacturing production or a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and understand part drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Inspect first and last article and other quality checks as required to maintain high-quality standards.
- Identify quality issues and direct them to the supervisor for corrective action.
- Ensure all parts are marked correctly for identification and tracking.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years of press brake experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing production or willingness to learn.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use quality inspection tools such as calipers and protractors.
- Ability to convert decimals to fractions and drive a forklift.
- Ability to work safely at all times and lift up to 50 pounds.
Benefits:
