We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Automotive Equipment Operator to join our team at Autoport Limited. As an Automotive Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles from railcars.
Key Responsibilities- Load and unload vehicles from railcars, working at heights and in a fast-paced environment.
- Operate equipment such as ramps and bridge plates to facilitate the movement of vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are properly secured within the railcar, adhering to customer standards and safety protocols.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company and industry-related safety standards and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with terminal managers and other railroad personnel to ensure a smooth and efficient work process.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) required.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to push, pull, or carry up to 50lbs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
