This role will involve collaborating with hiring leaders to identify staffing requirements, developing strategies to attract a diverse range of high-caliber candidates, conducting interviews based on behavioral and competency frameworks, and facilitating a seamless hiring process.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess organizational objectives and meet with department heads to clarify hiring needs.
- Explore and connect with community resources, educational institutions, agencies, social media platforms, and networks to cultivate applicant pools.
- Advertise job openings, coordinate with recruiters, and utilize social media and job boards to attract candidates.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate responses, check references, and align qualifications with job specifications.
- Organize interviews, arrange travel and accommodations, and guide candidates through the process.
- Support co-op and internship initiatives by posting positions, scheduling rotations, and aiding program management.
- Stay informed about recruitment regulations, implement compliance measures, propose new processes, and provide training.
- Engage in professional development, keep abreast of industry publications, and connect with professional networks.
- Grasp departmental requirements and create talent pipelines for roles that are frequently filled.
- Oversee pre-employment background checks, perform initial screenings, and utilize ATS for resume evaluations and approvals.
- Assist with ongoing and short-term HR initiatives and undertake other assigned responsibilities.
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in corporate recruitment.
- Familiarity with OFCCP regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ATS platforms.
- Experience in recruiting via social media.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Prior experience in recruiting for engineering and construction positions.
- AIRS Certified Recruiter status is preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish is essential.
- Knowledge of Taleo/Oracle ATS is advantageous.
