Job Title: Clinical Dietitian - Cardiac Rehab Specialist

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will provide nutritional care to patients in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation through medical record review, clinical assessment, diet education, and communication with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviews patient medical records to formulate a nutritional assessment and consults with the healthcare team to determine the best method of nutritional care/support.
  • Performs comprehensive dietary intake assessments and provides one-to-one nutrition counseling.
  • Develops a written report with recommendations based on initial and follow-up counseling sessions.
  • Provides education and counseling on specific dietary modifications needed to achieve target goals.
  • Collaborates with the Medical Director to identify the best method of nutritional care/support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics from an accredited program.
  • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) accredited dietetic internship.
  • Maintains status as a Registered Dietitian and is licensed in the state of New Hampshire.
  • Knowledge of role and impact of diet on CVD progression and risk factor management.
  • Knowledge of impact of diet on chronic diseases.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of principles of weight management through the balance of caloric intake and caloric expenditure.
  • Skilled in basic computer use, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
