Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Excellence and Portfolio Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Cyber and Digital Risk Management (C&DR) team, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and prioritizing the global record of cybersecurity demand for BD.

This role ensures the delivery of the portfolio and provides real-time insights into the C&DR Portfolio and organizational health. The C&DR Portfolio team is crucial to delivering value to BD's partners through portfolio execution and maintaining the highest levels of ethical, legal, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the build, execution, improvement, and adoption of the C&DR Operating Model that includes prioritization, collaboration, and delivery of the portfolio
  • Manage overall Portfolio Status and Health ensuring data integrity and consistency
  • Coach and consult with Project Managers to enable effective planning and project execution excellence
  • Drive the planning, preparation, and review of C&DR's Portfolio in partnership with C&DR's leadership team and Technology & Global Services (TGS) partners where necessary
  • Support the Annual Strategic Review (ASR) process for C&DR ensuring rigorous prioritization, budgeting, and resource alignment
  • Support the C&DR team with the use of Planview, coaching others as they use the platform
  • Regularly engage C&DR teams to understand, evaluate, and continuously improve processes and procedures within and among our towers to drive efficiency and strong collaboration
  • Develop and maintain C&DR operational and executive level KPIs that share the value our organization provides to BD as well as the evolving maturity of BD's security posture
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing methodologies such as DMAIC to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of cybersecurity services
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, or a related field is required. Master's degree is highly desirable. PMP or similarly recognized certification is preferred. Training in process methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) is a plus.

7+ years of demonstrated ability in portfolio and project management required. Experience with project budgets and resource planning required. Ability to identify and engage key partners for successful project execution. Proven ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods. Experience in a matrixed organization and overcoming ambiguity. Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to evaluate and recommend improvements. Knowledge of Portfolio and Project management tools such as Planview required.
