Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the Manufacturing Operations Leader will be a proactive, results-oriented individual who seeks continuous improvement opportunities and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required.
- Experience in a supervisory or lead hand role is essential.
- Strong people management skills are advantageous.
- Mechanical aptitude is considered beneficial.
- Experience operating loaders is a plus.
- A Class 3 driver's license or a willingness to obtain one is necessary.
- Excellent analytical skills are required.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines is crucial.
- Understanding of mechanical concepts is important.
- Flexibility to work variable hours during peak seasons is expected.
- Previous experience in an agricultural setting is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily plant operations efficiently, cost-effectively, and safely.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the facility.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory control processes.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Supervise preventative and planned maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure safety compliance and that operational training is current.
- Assist in determining seasonal hiring needs and recruitment processes.
- Contribute to budget preparation and adherence.
