About the Role

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking an experienced Corporate Auditor 3 to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. As a key member of our internal audit team, you will be responsible for conducting complex financial and operational audits to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our internal control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of financial and operational processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement audit programs and budgets to achieve audit objectives.
  • Prepare reports of findings and recommendations to management.
  • Support higher-level auditors on broad-scope assignments and provide guidance to less-experienced team members.
  • May support divisions and subsidiaries in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience or Master's degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and effective business writing skills.
  • Experience with data analytics, SAP, and/or CPA/CIA certifications is preferred.
