Job Summary

The Cardiovascular/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Clinical Exercise Physiologist is a key member of our team at TidalHealth, responsible for providing exercise, education, and lifestyle modifications to patients recovering from myocardial infarction, open heart surgery, and other cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions
  • Conduct exercise tolerance tests and interpret results to determine patient fitness levels
  • Administer patient education and exercise therapy for the outpatient service
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust exercise programs as needed
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation/Adult Fitness/Exercise Physiology or related field
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Exercise Specialist certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation, inpatient and outpatient settings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in formulating exercise prescriptions from exercise tolerance tests
  • Knowledge of cardiac medications and effects on exercise performance
  • Knowledge of Pulmonary Rehabilitation and assessment of Phase I patients
  • Practical skills in modifying exercise programs to individual needs
  • Experience in leading group warm-up sessions
Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, rotating Saturday
  • Occasionally asked to work for special events
  • Hours rearrangement based on work demand, minimum of 40 hours per week/salary position
Benefits
  • Full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period, and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits
