Exercise Physiologist

At TidalHealth, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our health promotion team, you will be responsible for providing fitness assessments, exercise prescriptions, and education to employees seeking to improve their fitness level and overall health.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exercise science, cardiovascular physiology, and ACSM guidelines. You will be responsible for leading group exercise sessions, including warm-ups, cool-downs, and circuit weight training. Additionally, you will provide one-on-one training to interested participants and Phase III/IV Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation patients.

Other responsibilities include health promotion through community outreach, bulletin boards, newsletters, incentive programs, worksite wellness screenings, and programs. You will also instruct indoor cycling, circuit weight training, and other fitness classes for both employees and community members.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Community Health Education and be certified in AHA, BLS, and ACLS. Experience in formulating exercise prescriptions from exercise tolerance tests, knowledge of medications and their effects on exercise performance, and knowledge of the application of exercise therapy for patients with co-morbidities are essential.
