We are seeking a skilled Packaging Inventory Specialist to join our team at The J.R. Simplot Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality and production levels are achieved and sustained for the packaging equipment on assigned lines.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Company Standards: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, food safety, sanitation, and GMPs protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Provide troubleshooting, repair, and support on equipment, instrumentation systems, and supporting equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic aspects.
- Operational Efficiency: Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine need for adjustments or repairs.
- Logistics and Inventory Management: Assist with tote management, drive a forklift, and utilize computer programs to communicate, document, and track shift information.
- Quality Control: Perform required quality checks and sampling, ensuring compliance with established procedures and specifications.
- Equipment Operation and Monitoring: Operate and monitor equipment within assigned zones, including distribution systems, scales, baggers, seal detection, inspection equipment, and more.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience: 3+ years related experience and/or training
