Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Developmental Specialist to join our team at the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare. As a Developmental Specialist, you will work with families and children to identify and address developmental delays and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and coaching to families and professionals on child development and early intervention strategies
  • Select, administer, and interpret assessment instruments to determine children's skill development
  • Conduct intervention sessions with caregivers in child's natural learning environments
  • Participate in multidisciplinary staffing's to plan intervention services for eligible children
  • Travel to rural areas to provide services to children and families
Requirements
  • Exceptional Child Certificate with Special Education Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement or equivalent
  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education, elementary education, or related field
  • Minimum of 24 credits in Early Childhood Special Education
