Job Summary

\
As a Cytologist at LifeBridge Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. This position involves preparing and screening all cytologic specimens, assisting on fine needle procedures, and interpreting findings under the direction of a pathologist as described in regulatory standards. You will be responsible for following laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements, including CAP, JCAHO, OSHA, and CLIA.\\

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and screen all cytologic specimens\\- Assist on fine needle procedures\\- Interpret findings under the direction of a pathologist\\- Follow laboratory policies and procedures\\- Ensure test results meet quality control program requirements\\- Maintain all necessary records and documentation\\- Utilize critical thinking skills and complex problem solving in resolving clinical and instrument problems\\

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or a related field\\- 2-4 years of experience in cytology\\- Board Registered or specialist in Cytology by recognized credentialing board\\- Eligible to become Registered\\- LC - Licensed Cytologist\\

Compensation Package

We offer a highly competitive salary range of $31.94-$47.91 per hour, based on experience. In addition to your hourly rate, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.\\
