Job Summary

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Certified Welding Inspector to join our team in Waxahachie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing field observations and inspections, as well as conducting destructive and non-destructive testing (NDT) or non-destructive examination (NDE) on steel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field observations and inspections of various construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
  • Conduct routine observations of structural steel and reinforcing steel, including welded or bolted connections using various methodologies and testing equipment.
  • Collect and analyze data from sampling, test results, and inspections to inform project decisions.
  • Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and advance in the company.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have ASNT NDT Level II certification(s) and at least 2 additional advanced industry certifications.
  • Ability to lift 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Advanced working knowledge of destructive and non-destructive testing principles, applications, and testing standards.
  • Expert understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
