At Seaboard Solutions, we offer competitive salaries and excellent benefits to our employees. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse.

About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity that requires a high level of physical fitness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, yard trucks, and other machinery to move cargo within the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

- Operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, yard trucks, and other machinery to move cargo within the warehouse
- Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report any defects or repairs to maintenance personnel
- Maintain accurate records of loads moved, shift activity, and other relevant data
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the warehouse
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

- 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, yard trucks, and other machinery
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, and speak Basic English
- Previous experience performing physical labor and working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to obtain HAZMAT certification within 30 days of start date
- Ability to obtain Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC) within 90 days of start date

Work Environment:

Physical Requirements:

- Subject to physical and/or DOT screening is required along with other tests as applicable
- The employee is continuously required to sit (while driving), grasp and exercise eye-hand coordination and eye-hand-foot coordination.
- The employee is frequently required to grasp, exercise repetitive wrist motion, and finger movement
- The employee is frequently required to talk and hear
- The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, bend forward, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, pinch and reach overhead
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk and exercise repetitive foot motion
- The employee is occasionally required to lift, carry, push and pull up to 110 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
